Meet Our Coaches

We have a large staff of experienced coaches to help keep our teacher-student ratios low in order to give your child the attention that she/he deserves.  Scroll down to meet some of our coaches!


Vicki Howard, Owner

Vicki leads and supervises the Preschool, Beginner, Advanced classes, and Competitive Team. She has owned and operated Moberly Gymnastics Academy for 18 years. She is Safety Certified by USA Gymnastics and is also a USA Gymnastics certified gymnastics coach, meet director, and skill evaluator. She has judged gymnastics meets for the Heart of Missouri Gymnastics League and AmeriKids Gymnastics for the past 16 years. She is also the 7 year Chairman of the Heart of Missouri Gymnastics League. She is a Certified Optician, has earned  bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Education, and holds Teaching Certificates in both Elementary Education and High School Business. Vicki currently teaches full-time at Moberly Area Technical Center and is a Future Business Leaders of America adviser.


Coach Robin

Robin is the Competition Team head coach and works primarily with the USAG team. She spends most Saturdays attending gymnastics meets, working on jumps/tumbling skills with local cheerleaders, leading private strengthening/flexibility and conditioning classes, and doing private lessons with students. Robin started gymnastics when she was 2 ½ and participated for 12 years, competing at the optional level. At age 15 she began judging gymnastics meets and helping instruct gymnastics classes. When asked why she coaches gymnastics, Robin stated “I’ve been involved in gymnastics for almost 26 years. I love the sport and I love my students. This is what I do for fun and I can’t imagine my life without it.” Robin cites her biggest priority in the classes she teaches “is definitely safety. Everything else comes second.” Robin attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with two bachelor’s degrees – one in Psychology and another in Health Sciences – and earned a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She works full-time as a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist, where she specializes in the rehabilitation of individuals of all ages with a wide variety of physical and mental health ailments. Robin is safety certified by USA Gymnastics, is an USA Gymnastics certified gymnastics instructor, is a registered gymnastics coach through USA Gymnastics and AAU, is certified by USA Gymnastics in first aid, and is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/Basic Life Support. 


Coach Abbi

Abbi coaches the Preschool, Beginner, Advanced, and Cheer and Tumbling classes and helps with the Level 2 and Level 3 Team. She is also a balance beam judge at Heart of Missouri gymnastics meets. Abbi was a gymnast for 11 years, competing at the optional level. Abbi mentioned her favorite gymnastics-related memories include earning the chance to compete at The State Games in Colorado and becoming a family with her teammates and coaches. Abbi said she enjoys coaching gymnastics because of “the interaction with the kids and the chance to be a role model to them.” Abbi was an honor roll student at Moberly High School, a Varsity Cheerleader, and a recipient of the All Star Cheerleader award. Abbi cheered at Moberly Area Community College last year and is currently taking classes to be an EMT. Abbi is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/ Basic Life Support.


Coach Reghan

Reghan coaches the Preschool, Beginner, Advanced classes, and helps with the Level 2 and Level 3 Team. Reghan is also a judge at Heart of Missouri gymnastics competitions. Reghan was a gymnast for 11 years and competed at the optional level. Reghan’s favorite gymnastics-related memory is “winning 1st place on beam and getting to go to Colorado Springs.” When asked why she coaches gymnastics, Reghan said “it is unlike any other job because I get to work with young girls who are fun and have a ton of energy! I never get bored because gymnastics is something I love and I want to help other girls love it too.” Reghan is a freshman at MACC with an interest in fashion merchandising.


 Coach Katie

Katie coaches the Beginner classes, Advanced classes, and competitive Team. Katie was a gymnast for 13 years and competed at the optional level. Katie’s favorite event to coach is beam and her favorite event to compete was floor “because it’s all about you and you get to show off your personality.”  Katie was an honor roll student at Madison High School where she participated in varsity track, varsity cheer, varsity softball, and was president of the FFA. Katie is a freshmen at MACC where she is studying animal science with plans to transfer to the University of Missouri to major in Veterinary Medicine.  Katie mentioned that her favorite part about coaching gymnastics is getting to see the gymnasts learn new skills. Katie states “I always encourage the kids to do their best and let them know that they CAN do it.”


Coach Jenna

Jenna coaches the Preschool, Beginner, Advanced classes and helps with the Level 2 and Level 3 Team. She was a gymnast for 6 years and competed at the optional level. Jenna’s favorite event to coach is beam and her favorite event to compete is floor “because the music gets me into the routine and I love the feeling when I’ve stuck my skills and [tumbling] passes.” Jenna went to Moberly High School where she was a honor roll student, a Varsity Cheerleader, and participated in Astra. She is now a freshman at MACC where she is a Greyhound Cheerleader. Jenna stated she enjoys teaching gymnastics because “I love seeing the kids get excited when they learn something new. It also feels good to know that some of the girls could make it far and that I’m apart of helping them.”


Coach Alyssa

  Alyssa coaches Preschool, Beginner, Advanced classes and helps with Level 2 Team. Alyssa also judges floor at Heart of Missouri gymnastics competitions. Alyssa was a gymnast for 7 years and competed at the optional level. Her favorite event to coach is vault and her favorite event to compete is floor “because all the attention is on you and it’s a really good feeling after you’ve stuck everything in your routine.” Alyssa enjoys teaching gymnastics because she enjoys teaching the young kids new skills and seeing them become so happy/excited once they get the skill. During her time at Moberly High School where she is a Varsity Cheerleader and a recipient of the All Star Cheerleader award. Alyssa is currently a freshman at MACC and is majoring in nursing.
